TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in Newport. This well-established and inclusive school provides a supportive learning environment with a strong focus on student engagement, offering excellent facilities and a positive culture for both staff and pupils.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated Cover Teacher on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right Cover Teacher. The successful Cover Teacher will be responsible for delivering pre‑planned lessons across a variety of subjects at Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
Qualifications and Requirements
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* The ability to deliver pre‑planned lessons across multiple subjects
* A flexible and proactive approach to teaching
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
