Mobile Caretaker
Location : Derby, DE1
37 hours, £13.26 p/hr, Fixed Term until End of March 2026, 7am - 3pm daily.
Are you practical, reliable, and confident carrying out hands-on maintenance tasks? We are looking for a Mobile Caretaker on behalf of our client to ensure that multiple buildings remain safe, clean, and well-maintained for staff and visitors.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in maintaining safe environments, and is comfortable working independently across varied sites.
About the Role
As a Mobile Caretaker, you will carry out routine safety checks, minor repairs, and general caretaking duties to maintain the smooth and safe operation of several buildings. You will respond to on-site issues, support health and safety requirements, and help ensure facilities remain in good working order.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
1. Carry out minor repairs, such as fixing door handles, replacing light tubes, unblocking waste pipes, and adjusting basic fittings.
2. Report major faults or defects to the appropriate contact for further action.
3. Support the safe operation of heating and building systems, reporting any issues when needed.
