Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Oakwood, a category C prison located in Wolverhampton. HMP Oakwood is a male prison with a population of 678 males, a training prison with a layout of 7 wings. As a Paramedic, you will cover any patient incidents throughout the prison and also work out of the Healthcare department.
Hours
* 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Sunday service
* Various shift patterns between 7am - 8pm
Salary
This position is full time; you’ll receive an annual salary of £36,609.00 per annum.

Main duties of the job
* Provide outstanding evidence‑based care to patients – seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so care is personalized and informed by what matters to them, focusing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary and acute care needs.
* Deliver non‑judgmental care, build therapeutic relationships, and promote professional boundaries.
* Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care following our policies and procedures, while always considering safeguarding.

Qualifications
* Qualified Paramedic
* Current professional registration (HCPC)
* Proven post‑registration ambulance experience
* Evidence of continued professional development
* A non‑judgmental and compassionate approach
* Proven experience in Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries/illness
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment (preferred but not essential)
