Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support educators in fostering a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, including autism and other disabilities. This role involves assisting teachers in delivering lessons, providing one-on-one support to students, and contributing to the overall development of each child's educational journey.
Duties
* Assist teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students.
* Provide individual support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can fully participate in classroom activities.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.
* Support students during activities, both in and out of the classroom, including tutoring and mentoring sessions.
* Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals regarding student progress and needs.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to special education and working with individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
* Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
* Background in special education or experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, educators, and parents.
* Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children who have diverse needs.
* Knowledge of teaching strategies that support children with autism is an advantage.
