Job Summary
As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalised support to individuals in care homes or home care settings. Your primary focus will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual who can communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other care professionals.
Duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
* Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the supervising staff.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Skills
* Proficient in English with strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
* Experience in care home settings or home care is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others while working in a supportive environment that values compassion and dedication.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 37.5 per week
