An established Independent School in Islington is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher for a permanent, full-time position starting in September. The successful Physical Education Teacher will promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles among students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective Physical Education Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
* Prepare students for practical assessments and examinations in PE and potentially sports science.
* Develop students' physical fitness, skills, and understanding of sports and health.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback as a Physical Education Teacher.
* Contribute to the organisation and delivery of extracurricular sports activities and teams.
* Encourage a lifelong commitment to physical activity and well-being.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Physical Education.
* Proven experience teaching PE at secondary level, potentially including Key Stage 5.
* Strong knowledge of various sports, physical activities, and health principles.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities in PE.
