Are you looking for an exciting role with the flexibility of working hours to suit your lifestyle? If so, Llanrumney Vets4Pets have a unique opportunity for an experienced vet to join our team!
This is a part time role, working up to 3 days per week Monday - Friday. There is no weekend work, but the shift pattern will include an occasional late shift (once a week we close at 8pm instead of the usual 6pm, giving the perfect work/life balance).
We are a long established (12 years old) practice, with a stable team and a very low staff turnover. It is a relaxed, friendly and welcoming practice, well equipped with everything that you would expect from a surgery of this size including digital X-ray, brand new ultrasound, endoscopy and in-house laboratory.
We see a wide variety of first opinion cases and work to a 20-minute appointment schedule allowing us to provide the highest levels of care and customer service. We also receive referral orthopaedic cases from all over South & West Wales.
We have a very experienced team, all our vets either hold or are working towards certificates. We also have additional qualifications within our large nursing team, including an anaesthesia certificate. Our admin staff are very long established and have been recognised for their outstanding customer service - including a previous Petplan Awards finalist. You will be joining a team of 3 Vets, a strong nursing team of 5 (including SVN) and 4 administration colleagues.
We are a part of our close-knit community and our practice values include local inclusion, charitable giving and environmental awareness. In the immediate area we have a number of local shops and businesses, and we are only a 20-minute drive into Cardiff city centre or a commutable drive to the beautiful Welsh countryside.
Benefits
As you would expect from the market leader in small animal veterinary care, we offer a great package and benefits, including:
* A competitive salary from £55,000 FTE dependent on experience
* CPD which is actively encouraged and funded.
* Exclusive company discounts and rewards - including 20% off at Pets at Home, The Groom Room, and the Vet Group.
* Paid memberships
* Company pension scheme
* Healthcare
* 5.6 weeks holiday
We are looking for someone who is a team player and committed to offering the best patient care. The right candidate needs to be comfortable in routine surgeries and routine medical consultations. Other interests are welcomed and encouraged too.
Our clients and patients' welfare is at the heart of everything we do and we strive to provide an excellent service to them. If you share a similar ethos, then this could be the role for you.
