Description
* Drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney, and related documents.
* Assisting with the administration of estates, including preparing Confirmation applications, inheritance tax forms, and asset schedules.
* Handling guardianship applications and other incapacity-related matters.
* Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, HMRC, banks, and other third parties.
* Maintaining accurate case files and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements (including Law Society of Scotland standards).
* Providing general support to solicitors and fee earners within the Private Client team.
* Supporting the development of the department's client relationships and business development goals
Profile
* A Paralegal qualification (ideally from the Law Society of Scotland or similar recognised body).
* Demonstrable experience in Private Client law, ideally within a Scottish law firm.
* Strong understanding of Scottish succession law, Powers of Attorney, and the Confirmation process.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and client-care skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
* Proficiency in legal software and case management systems.
