Pre-cast Concrete Operative
Location: Barry
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6.00 am - 4.00 pm
Contract Type: Ongoing Temporary / Temp to Perm Opportunity
Pay Rate: £13.21 per hour

About the Role
We're seeking a motivated and reliable Operative to join their busy manufacturing site in Barry. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll be involved in the full production process, including batching, screeding, working, and finishing concrete, as well as demoulding products and ensuring they meet specification and quality standards.
This is a hands-on, physical role that requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to safety protocols. Full training will be provided, with opportunities to develop your skills across multiple production areas.
Key Responsibilities
Batch, screed, and work concrete to required standards
Finish concrete to achieve the correct surface quality and dimensions
Ensure chamfers, moulds, and tables are clean and ready for use
Demould castings and shutters safely and efficiently
Carry out quality checks to ensure all finished products meet specification
Follow all site safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines
Requirements
Physically fit and comfortable with manual work, including standing, lifting, and operating machinery for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
Team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Valid forklift operator certification or previous experience operating a forklift or telehandler (desirable)
Previous experience in production or construction is beneficial but not essential
