About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and caringFull-Time SEN Teacher to join one of our specialist secondary schools near Weybridge, Surrey. The school is dedicated to educating children and young people aged 11-18 with a wide range of needs, including autism spectrum conditions, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties. This role would suit a teacher who has a background in either Primary or Secondary education. Ideal candidates will have experience within SEN, be patient and calm when faced with challenges, and bring creativity and positivity to a fantastic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach small groups of pupils with complex needs, using a differentiated and individualised curriculum.
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, support staff, and families.
* Plan and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and monitor progress regularly.
* Foster a learning environment that supports emotional regulation, communication, and social development.
* Model positive behaviour support strategies and ensure consistent, compassionate behaviour management.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching in a SEN or specialist provision (desirable but not essential).
* A passion for working with children and young people with complex needs.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* A reflective, flexible, and resilient approach to teaching and learning.
