Assistant Coordinator at Exeter Crown & County Court (12-month contract)
We’re seeking a compassionate and empathetic Assistant Coordinator to join our team in improving the lives of individuals involved in the Justice System.
Since 2023, 399 people have received vital support at our hub inside Exeter Crown & County Court. With your help, we aim to make an even greater impact.
The purpose of this role
This is a new part-time position (22.5 hours per week) on a 12-month contract. The role is crucial at a pivotal moment when someone arrives in crisis at our door.
You will be part of a team focused on reducing re-offending by providing an opportunity for individuals at court to reset and restart their lives.
You will use your interpersonal skills to make a meaningful difference by offering practical advice and emotional support to those going through court proceedings.
You will collaborate with various partners to address underlying issues and reduce the risk of re-offending, particularly around:
* Spiralling financial hardship and debt
* Homelessness and accommodation issues
* General wellbeing
* Domestic abuse
* Substance use
* Mental health issues, including depression and anxiety
* Literacy challenges
* General court support
* Education, training, and employment opportunities
