Senior Business Systems Officer (Job reference: PDIT00037D2HME)
Location: County Hall, Ruthin
Salary: Grade 9 (£40,777 – £42,839 per annum)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: 2 year fixed term contract from appointment

Responsibilities
* Lead the development and improvement of the council’s core business applications, treating them as platforms for change to support strategic goals such as Net Zero 2030.
* Translate complex business needs into modern, innovative technical solutions and act as a technical authority and system champion for critical enterprise applications.
* Collaborate closely with business units, vendors and technical teams to deliver continuous improvement, digital transformation and project delivery.
* Ensure all enterprise systems operate efficiently, securely and in alignment with organisational goals, maintaining data integrity and governance.
* Manage system upgrades, integrations and data flows, while ensuring performance, security and user satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Highly skilled ICT professional with extensive experience managing, enhancing and supporting complex business systems in large, multi‑stakeholder environments.
* Strong analytical capability, strategic thinking and deep understanding of enterprise applications, data flows and system integrations.
* Proven expertise in business analysis, systems administration, solution design and project delivery.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and the ability to prioritise within fast‑paced, high‑complexity settings.
* Commitment to best‑practice governance, data integrity and optimal operational performance.
