A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for a Subcontract Procurement Lead to take ownership of the subcontract procurement process across a range of major projects.
You'll be responsible for managing tender enquiries, negotiating with key supply chain partners, and ensuring subcontract packages deliver the best technical and commercial outcomes. This is a key strategic role, working closely with estimating, commercial, and project delivery teams to maintain strong supplier relationships and drive value throughout the project lifecycle.
What you'll do:
* Lead the full procurement process from enquiry to award
* Manage and develop the approved supply chain
* Review tender returns and carry out commercial evaluations
* Ensure subcontractor compliance with HSEQ and insurance requirements
* Support continuous improvement of procurement systems and processes
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in subcontract procurement within a civil engineering or construction environment
* Strong negotiation and commercial awareness
* Knowledge of construction contracts and tendering procedures
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with procurement systems advantageous
* HNC/Degree qualified preferred | MCIPS desirable
