About The Role
SS&C is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Citrix Engineer to join the Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) unit. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Citrix infrastructure across a broad array of environments, including Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Citrix DaaS, Citrix Gateway, and NetScaler services. The position demands strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to deliver in a fast‑paced environment.
Your Responsibilities
* Design and implement Citrix solutions to meet business requirements
* Manage a variety of Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops environments, including Citrix DaaS, to ensure high availability and performance
* Support, configure, and maintain Citrix Gateway services and NetScaler appliances
* Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Citrix infrastructure issues, implementing solutions to prevent recurrence and collaborating with IT support teams to resolve technical problems
* Develop automated processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual interventions using tools such as Packer, Terraform, SaltStack, and Chocolatey
* Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the Citrix environment
* Create and maintain detailed documentation for Citrix environments and provide training and mentorship to junior team members and IT staff
* Lead and manage Citrix‑related projects from planning to execution, working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
Your Experience
* Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
o Relevant certifications (e.g., Citrix Certified Specialist, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus
* Experience:
o Minimum of 5–7 years of designing, implementing, and maintaining Citrix environments
* Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops environments, including Citrix DaaS
o Strong understanding of Citrix NetScaler and Citrix Cloud Gateway services
o Solid knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory
o Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V
o Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
o Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
* Soft Skills:
o Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team
o Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
