As Lead for an area of Dietetic Practice the advanced practitioner will undertake evidence based audit and research activity to develop standards of practice and define a quality governance structure for their area of practice across the Unit. As Lead for an area of Dietetic Practice the advanced practitioner will increase capacity throughout the system by working in partnership to develop care pathways including community interventions/signposting. The Advanced Practitioner will lead the practitioner’s network for their area of practice. The post holder provides advice to Dietitians across North Highland however is not accountable for their practice. The post holder will develop the service within the specialism ensuring performance management indicators are developed and achieved by all members of the extended dietetic team. Requirements Registered Dietician with the HCPC Honours Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics (4 year degree qualification with several clinical practice placements in a variety of NHS settings) Extensive knowledge of nutritional and dietetic care gained from NHS experience at Specialist level Clean driving licence This position is classified as a regulated role.
