Overview
We are seeking a highly organised full time Legal Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a solid understanding of legal terminology and procedures within our conveyancing and private client department which includes both residential and commercial conveyancing, Wills, Probate, Trusts and other general areas.
Duties
* Provide administrative support to the senior partner including managing schedules and appointments.
* Manage digital documents and correspondence
* Carry out audio typing of legal documents and correspondence
* Maintain accurate filing systems, both electronic and paper-based
* Manage incoming communications via telephone, email, and post, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
* Communicate effectively with clients, solicitors and other professionals
Skills
* Proficient in audio typing with a keen attention to detail.
* Previous administrative experience within a legal environment is essential
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Solid IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software quickly.
* Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary - to be discussed in interview
Working hours - 8:45am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday
Holidays - 36 days holiday per year - pro-rata (which includes Bank Holidays)
