Salary: A GBP 23,971 (Pro:rata A GBP 13, 393.36) per annum
Hours: Part time: 25 hours per week, 36 weeks (Term Time) plus 1 training week (37 weeks worked)
Job Type: Temporary until 31st December 2025
The Role
They are looking for Learning Support Assistants to work within their busy Additional Learning Support Team.
In this rewarding role, you will provide in and out of class support to assist students with learning difficulties/disabilities to help them achieve their best possible outcomes. This may include supporting with personal care and/or literacy and numeracy. This particular role will be supporting a student on a 1:2:1 basis.
You will be a key part of the Student Support team, assisting in the planning, preparation, and reviewing of learning in conjunction with relevant curriculum staff, providing feedback, and conducting reviews to ensure students are making expected progress and working towards outcomes.
You will need personal skills to effectively support students, deal with challenging behavior when it arises, and help them develop coping strategies.
Skills And Qualifications
You should have the personal skills and experience to support students effectively, manage challenging behavior, and help develop coping strategies. Experience supporting students in an educational setting and knowledge of SEND, ALS, and EHCPs are required.
You need to hold or be working towards your Maths and English L2/C grade and be willing to work towards an adult learner support or equivalent qualification.
Department Info
You will work closely with members of the Additional Learning Support and Curriculum departments. You will report to the LSA Coordinator and liaise with tutors to support learners within the classroom environment.
