Job summary
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a busy supportive department, contributing to high- quality patient care and service delivery.
The Specialty Doctor will play an integral part and assist with Ward Rounds, General Haematology clinics, Chemotherapy clinics and providing Bone Marrow procedures under the direction of the Consultant Haematologists.
It is envisaged that the Specialty Doctor will play a significant role in the risk stratification and management of patients admitted to the Haematology Ward and within Outpatient Clinics.
Additionally, although the precise details of the post will vary according to the experience and wishes of the successful candidate, opportunities are likely to exist for participation in a wide variety of aspects of the work of the Haematology Department (including Laboratory work, A&G and RAS referrals)
There is a strong commitment to education and training both in the Department of Haematology and the Trust as a whole.
This post does not include an on-call commitment.
