Hays are recruiting on behalf of Birmingham City Council for an experienced Senior Practitioner (SP)/Assistant Team Manager (ATM) based in Birmingham QE Hospital in theplex Case team.
Your new role
As an SPD, you will have knowledge of the management of aplex caseload, good knowledge of safeguarding 117, MCA and Best Interests decision-making. Must have experience of managing 5-7 staff or transferable skills in supervising staff, and all-round knowledge and familiarity with the Care Act 2014. Experience of using Eclipse systems is desirable, but not essential and training will be given.
We are also looking for candidates who canmence working with us quite quickly for a 6-month contract in the first instance with the potential to be ongoing for the right candidate.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent). It is also essential that you have a current professional registration and have a minimum of 2 years' experience working with adults in a Senior Social Work Practitioner position and have experience of supervising staff and students.
