Arborist Apprentice We're looking for an Arborist Apprentice to join our Transportation based in Birmingham, working towards a Level 2 apprenticeship in Arborist. Transportation - Build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people. Location: Based out of the Thimble Mill Lane Depot in Birmingham Hours : 40 hours per week Salary: £20,800 Start Date: September 2026 We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. How does an apprenticeship work? As an Arborist Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 2 apprenticeship, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team to support in the overall design, build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people. Your day to day will include: Assisting with traffic management setups (cones, signs, barriers) Following method statements and risk assessments (RAMS) Clearing cut material from the work sites Supporting removal of dangerous or fallen trees, hanging or fallen branches on the Network Learning how to use various tools and machinery What are we looking for?
