Agriculture lecturer - livestock (maternity cover)

We're looking for someone with real-world agricultural experience to help train and inspire the next generation of farmers. The ideal candidate will be passionate and knowledgeable with the ability to translate industry experience into meaningful teaching. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in livestock farming who is ready to support and inspire learners aged 16-18 as they prepare for careers in the agricultural sector.

About the Role

You will:

* Deliver engaging and practical lessons in livestock, machinery, agri-science and associated units to FE learners (primarily Level 1-3).
* Support students in developing essential hands-on skills using our on-site commercial mixed farm (dairy and sheep).
* Contribute to the planning and assessment of vocational qualifications such as BTEC, or T Level pathways.
* Work closely with the Farm Manager to integrate seasonal farm activities into the teaching programme.
* Provide academic and pastoral support to help learners progress into employment or further training.
What We're Looking For
* Practical experience in livestock farming or animal husbandry.
* A relevant Level 3 qualification in agriculture or a related subject or above.
* A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one, which we will support).
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A learner-focused approach with the ability to motivate and engage young people.
