On the Road - Lancashire-Based
Our exclusive client, a leading provider of advanced farming technology, is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Field Engineer to join their service team. This hands-on, field-based position focuses on delivering reliable support to agricultural customers across Lancashire, working directly with innovative on-farm equipment.
You'll play a key role in ensuring essential operations run smoothly and efficiently by providing technical support and maintenance. Whether you've previously worked in agriculture or have a strong technical background with an interest in the industry, this is your chance to build a long-term career with a forward-thinking company.
* Performing maintenance and repairs on robotic and automated agricultural equipment
* Diagnosing and resolving faults
* Responding to breakdowns and participating in an on-call rota (one in three weekends)
* Supporting equipment installations, product demonstrations and follow-up technical visits
* Working alongside the sales team to provide support and technical guidance in the field
* Managing your own schedule and making practical decisions around travel and priorities
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in maintenance or service work, ideally within agricultural, mechanical, electrical or hydraulic systems
* Skilled in diagnostics and fault-finding
* A strong interest in agriculture and emerging technology
* Good judgment in planning and decision-making to support efficiency and customer satisfaction
* Able to work independently and manage a field-based workload
* Strong communication skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach
* A full UK driving licence is required
Package Offered:
* Up to £40K base salary
* Incentive programme with bonuses ranging from 0-8% (average 4% annually)
