We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised IT Support Engineer to join our team. Based at our Bolton Head Office, you’ll provide a mix of onsite and remote technical support across our client base. Key Responsibilities: * Act as the first point of contact for IT support queries via phone, email, and ticketing system * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, print solutions, and networking * Diagnose and resolve Windows, Office 365, and cloud platform issues * Configure and support print management software (e.g., Papercut) * Assist with account setup, password resets, and Active Directory tasks * Provide support for installations, updates, and device setups * Escalate unresolved issues to relevant technical teams * Maintain accurate records and documentation of all support requests * Follow up with clients to ensure successful issue resolution * Build strong working relationships with clients through clear communication and a customer-first approach * *Company Car Provided* Your Skills & Experience: Proven experience in IT support/helpdesk roles (or strong academic/personal IT background) Hands-on experience and working knowledge of: Microsoft Windows 10/11 Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) Google Workspace (G Suite) Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing) Print management software like Papercut Remote desktop tools and helpdesk software Working hands-on with cloud platforms like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and ideally Azure Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills Strong documentation and time-management abilities Experience with managed print solutions and multifunction devices is desirable * Full UK driving license is required. * Company Car Provided Your Attitude & Approach: Passion for IT and willingness to learn and grow Logical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills Friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple issues simultaneously Team player who supports and collaborates with others A commitment to going the extra mile for clients Desirable Qualifications (or willingness to work towards): * Microsoft Certifications (MCP, MCSA) * Cisco Certifications (CCNA) * Cloud Certifications (Azure, AWS) * Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V) * Firewall/Networking (Fortinet, SonicWall, Ruckus, Cisco) If you're a driven and capable IT Engineer ready to take the next step in your career, apply today and become part of a forward-thinking company that’s making a real difference in the workplace and the classroom.
