We are working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Colchester that is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team on a long-term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an LSA who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, and development, and who is looking to become a valued member of a school community.
The Role
1. Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, including children with SEN
2. Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
3. Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
4. Supporting behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
5. Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents
The Ideal Candidate
6. Previous experience as an LSA or Teaching Assistant in a school setting
7. Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is desirable
8. Calm, patient, and caring approach
9. Reliable, professional, and committed to a long-term role
Safeguarding & Compliance
All candidates must have:
10. Two professional references
11. Enhanced DBS (sighted or on the Update Service)
12. Right to Work in the UK
