Job Title: Lead Software Engineer
Location: Nottingham
We’re seeking an experienced Software Engineering Lead to join us as part of the expansion in our Development team. This is a great opportunity to take on a hands-on leadership role, helping to design, build, and scale the systems that support our core products and services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Oversee the design and implementation of product features in our applications, APIs, and information gathering systems
* Scale infrastructure in line with our growth
* Collaborate closely with our product and design teams
* Lead by example in code quality, performance optimization, and system reliability
* Play a key role in architectural decisions and lead complex technical projects
* Own features from concept through to deployment and monitoring, with a focus on scalability, user impact, and performance
What We’re Looking For:
* 7+ years of backend development experience in a professional environment
* Hands-on experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines
* Strong understanding of engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, and system monitoring
* Great communication skills and a collaborative mindset
