This unique provision supports pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across all four broad areas of need, as well as some pupils undergoing assessment through their Local Authority. The school welcomes children regardless of starting point or previous experience and is committed to unlocking every pupil’s potential.

As a Sports Coach, you will work closely with teachers and the pastoral team to support learning, emotional wellbeing, and personal development. You will provide one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and build confidence at a pace that suits them. The role will include some elements of supporting within the classroom environment to support students to access their learning.

This role is ideal for someone patient, resilient, and nurturing — someone who believes that progress is measured not only academically, but socially and emotionally too.

About the School

This specialist provision is widely recognised for its nurturing, personalised, and inclusive approach. The school offers three distinct pathways tailored to individual need and aspiration, ensuring that pupils receive the right level of support and challenge.

The site includes a combination of classrooms and specialist Nurture Bases, as well as a Science Lab, Art room, Food Technology suite, and Engineering workshop. Consequently, the purposeful school environment reflects the students’ learning needs. The curriculum is flexible, creative, and highly individualised.

A strong trauma-informed approach underpins all practice. Staff work collaboratively to ensure that pupils feel safe, understood, and valued from the moment they arrive.

The Role Will Include:

• Supporting pupils across a range of subjects and pathways

• Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions

• Assisting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs

• Supporting behaviour through positive, relational approaches

• Working closely with teaching and pastoral teams to remove barriers to learning

• Helping to implement personalised education and support plans
