Applicants must have previousadministration experience and be fully confident and competent in all aspectsof computer-based and telephone work. The ability to work with a wide range ofpeople with a calm, efficient telephone manner is essential, as well asexcellent organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbaland written are essential. You should be able to use your own initiative, beteam orientated with a flexible approach to work.
You will be based at HartismereHospital in Eye, working Monday to Friday - 09:30 - 17:30. On occasion you will be required totravel to attend meetings or cover absences at our other bases.
Main duties of the job
Makeand receive calls to and from members of the public wishing to access ourservice.
Inputdata and information obtained whilst remaining focused upon the caller.
Bookappointments for patients.
Answertelephone enquiries and take messages where appropriate. This includes talkingto patients, family members and carers, members of the health and social careteams, and staff from all levels of the organisation.
Receiveand action as appropriate incoming mail / email / electronic referrals andcorrespondence
Arrangedispatch of outgoing post through our mailing service.
Manageelectronic referrals / patient notes / discharge letters to maintain theelectronic system.
Sendand/or scan patient-related documentation following patient contact.
Input patient data onto the clinicalsystem (SystmOne)

* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
* Computer Literacy and Information Technology (CLAIT)/European Computer Driving Licence (EDCL) or equivalent
