Milk Education is working on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Morpeth to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time supply role with a mix of general classroom support and providing tailored support to children with special educational needs (SEN).
The Role:
Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
Providing small group and 1:1 support, including children with SEN needs
Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive learning environment
Encouraging children’s personal, social, and educational development
Helping to prepare resources and supporting with day-to-day classroom routines
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience working in a primary school or supporting children
Knowledge or experience of working with children with additional needs (desirable)
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
