Role: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis across EYFS to Year 6, including children with mild to moderate SENDTradewind Recruitment is currently partnering with a number of welcoming and well-regarded primary schools across the borough of Sutton who are seeking Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join their teams.These roles involve providing targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils with mild to moderate special educational needs within mainstream classrooms. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled Teaching Assistants who are passionate about helping children reach their full potential while working within supportive school environments.The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils across EYFS to Year 6
2. Support pupils with mild to moderate SEND, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence in learning
3. Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
4. Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
5. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to monitor pupil progress and wellbeing
6. Support the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities
Qualifications:
7. Level 3 Early Years Educator (EYE)
8. Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
9. Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (CACHE)
10. Level 3 Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)
11. Level 3 NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development
12. Level 3 Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy - Birth to 7
13. Level 3 Diploma in Playwork
14. Level 3 Award/Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS)
The Ideal Candidate:
15. Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
16. Have recent experience working in a UK primary school setting
17. Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly in a 1:1 capacity
18. Demonstrate strong communication, patience and adaptability
19. Be enthusiastic about supporting children's learning and development
20. Hold an CHILD ONLY Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
