Physiotherapy Technician
Fitzwilliam Hospital, Peterborough
Full Time, 37.5 hours
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Physiotherapy team as a Physiotherapy Technician. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable individual to work in this full time role within our Physiotherapy teams primarily within the outpatient setting.
The Fitzwilliam Hospital Physiotherapy Department is a friendly and forward-thinking department with a continued in-service training programme and a focus on developing staff; by providing clinical support from experienced staff, support to continue professional and personal development.
We therefore expect our candidates to have a positive can do attitude, possess a desire to learn and to be integral into the ongoing development of our service.
This post requires the successful candidate to undertake specific support work to aid the rehabilitation and discharge of patients as directed by set standards and protocols or under supervision and guidance from qualified therapists and Senior Technicians. To work unsupervised, reporting back patient progress and informing the physiotherapist of any problems. To support the therapy team with non-clinical tasks, including equipment, housekeeping and administration tasks.
E xperience of working within a rehabilitation/gym/exercise setting and holding a relevant qualification is desirable .

The hospital is situated in the quiet landscaped grounds of the Milton Estate in Peterborough and has 54 singlebedroomsand 1 twin-bedded room, all with en suite facilities. The hospital provides services for both private and NHS patients.
What you'll bring with you
Good standard of written English appropriate to the role
Basic standard of education
Suitability for role e.g. experience of working with the general public
Knowledge of Physiotherapy and service delivery
Good standard of communication by way of telephone, written and face to face
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise a workload
Good IT skills
Ability to work as part of a time as well as independently using initiative
Evidence of Ramsay values and behaviours
Flexible to meet service needs
Willingness to accept additional responsibility
