About Our Client

Our client is a leading UK contractor delivering essential works across social housing, refurbishment, and planned maintenance frameworks. Job Description

3. Ensure full compliance with SHE legislation, CDM Regulations, and internal safety frameworks.
4. Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments across refurbishment and social housing sites.
5. Lead incident investigations and deliver root-cause analysis.
6. Review RAMS and safe systems of work, ensuring high‑risk activities are properly controlled.
7. Support and enhance ISO 45001 and 14001 management systems.
8. Provide coaching and guidance to site teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and operational leaders.
9. Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and behavioural safety initiatives.
10. Build strong relationships with site teams, influencing and encouraging safe behaviours.
11. Contribute to pre‑construction planning and tender processes with SHE expertise.
12. Liaise with external regulators and stakeholders where required.
13. Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and best practice across the region.

The Successful Applicant

14. NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or NEBOSH General with strong construction experience).
15. NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Health & Safety.
16. Minimum 3-5 years experience in construction, social housing, refurbishment, property maintenance, or FM.
17. Excellent working knowledge of CDM, construction practices, and H&S legislation.
18. Strong engagement and communication skills - able to coach, influence, and build trust.
19. Experience using SHE platforms such as Airsweb, Assure, or similar.
20. Desire to develop knowledge under the Building Safety Act 2022 and BSR guidance.
21. Advantageous: Tech IOSH, ISO Auditor qualifications, asbestos awareness (HSG264), PASMA/IPAF familiarity, or retrofit/occupied refurbishment experience.
