CNC Machinist (Toolroom) Sector: Plastics Manufacturing Location: Suffolk Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Circa £36,000 (open to discussion) Hours: Monday to Friday – Days iSQ Recruitment is supporting a well-established and highly regarded manufacturer within the plastic packaging sector in their search for a CNC Machinist and/or Toolmaker. This role offers the opportunity to join a modern, well-equipped toolroom within a business known for its technical capability, quality standards, and commitment to sustainability. Working within a well-equipped toolroom, you will be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tooling and associated equipment, providing essential engineering support to production departments. This is a Monday to Friday, days position. * Please note this client does not offer Visa sponsorship. Maintain, service, repair, and modify existing tooling to support production requirements. Carry out repairs, manufacture, and modification of associated equipment as required. Provide hands-on engineering support to production departments. Complete accurate records detailing servicing, repair, and maintenance work. Work strictly in line with health & safety requirements and best practices. Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the tooling function. About You Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Toolmaker and/or CNC Machinist in a similar manufacturing environment. Strong experience using manual and/or CNC machining equipment. CAM programming experience desirable, though training will be provided for the right candidate. Detail-oriented with pride in delivering consistently high-quality work. Proactive and able to use initiative to solve problems. Safety-conscious and willing to lead by example. Full right to work in the UK & full UK driving licence/own vehicle.
