We are currently working with a global travel business who have a number of exciting projects planned. Following a successful system upgrade, they’re now investing heavily in innovation and they’re looking for multiple hands-on Lead Software Engineers.
As a Lead Engineer, youll be embedded within a tight-knit squad of 5-7 TypeScript software engineers, working on the development of key customer-facing and internal platforms. Youll be the technical authority in your team, guiding architecture and code quality while remaining fully hands-on.
The environment is fast-moving and forward-looking, with a strong emphasis on AI, automation, and cloud-native practices. You’ll work with a mature engineering culture that values innovation, clean architecture, and continuous improvement in a Full Stack TypeScript ecosystem (Node.js & React)
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading the design and development of scalable, high-traffic systems
* Championing engineering best practices across the team
* Building full-stack applications in TypeScript (Node & React)
* Shipping resilient, cloud-first software on AWS with Kubernetes
* Mentoring and supporting engineers at all levels
* Working closely with product and architecture teams to deliver top-tier solutions
You Should Have:
✔️ 5+ years as a software engineer, with recent experience in a Lead role
✔️ Deep backend knowledge using Node.js, with full-stack ability in React
✔️ Cloud experience, ideally with AWS (Lambda, EKS, RDS) and Kubernetes
✔️ Exposure to AI tools or automation workflows (desirable!)
✔️ Familiarity with GraphQL, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
✔️ A passion for clean, scalable architecture and leading by example
