Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 MRI Radiographer to join our dynamic MRI team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to enhance their skills in a busy department. Effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Ideally, candidates will have proven MRI experience and a desire to further develop their MR imaging skills. The post involves working within the Imaging Department to provide a safe, efficient, high-quality service in accordance with departmental and Trust protocols. Maintaining high standards of patient care among peers, students, colleagues, and service users is a key responsibility.
The Senior Radiographer will support the Senior team in achieving departmental and Trust objectives, supervising and advising junior staff, students, and assistant practitioners.
The role requires flexible working including weekdays, weekends, and out-of-hours shifts, as the department operates 7 days a week. Participation in the on-call rota is also expected.
Applicants with recent NHS experience are preferred.

Main duties of the job
* Participate in the effective operation of the MRI service under senior staff guidance, ensuring high-quality patient care.
* Maintain MRI service standards through staff training and comprehensive competency assessments.
* Supervise junior staff, students, and assistant practitioners in liaison with senior radiographers.
