Job Title: Manager I, Billing & Payments - Amazon Freight

Amazon Freight (Amazon's external-facing freight service) is hiring for a Manager I, Billing & Payments in India, aiming to deliver an exceptional shipper experience in the EU and UK regions. Join us in building the next big thing for Amazon.
Key Responsibilities
1. People Management:
o Lead a team of Billing and Payment Analysts (Level 3 roles).
o Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
o Conduct performance reviews and support career development.
o Manage resource allocation and workload distribution.
2. Process and Program Management:
o Oversee end-to-end billing and payments processes.
o Identify and implement process improvements.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues.
o Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
3. Team Leadership and Development:
o Foster a positive team culture and promote continuous learning.
o Conduct team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
o Identify training needs.
o Align strategies with other managers.
4. Reporting and Analysis:
o Analyze billing and payments data for trends and issues.
o Provide insights and recommendations for improvements.
5. Stakeholder Management:
o Manage escalated inquiries and disputes.
o Build relationships with stakeholders.
o Represent the team in cross-departmental initiatives.
The role may also include managing budgets, forecasting resources, and contributing to process development within the scope of responsibility.
About the Team
We are Amazon’s middle-mile logistics technology solution for shipping road freight in the UK and Europe, enabling shipments directly to Amazon Fulfillment Centers or other facilities at competitive prices.
Minimum Requirements
* 2+ years of team management experience.
* Experience using data to influence decisions.
* Proficiency in Excel.
* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience with FinOps, billing & payments, banking, or fraud detection processes.
* Knowledge of Six Sigma or similar defect reduction techniques.
