We are looking for an Assistant Head of Year (Non-Teaching) to join our dedicated and supportive team from September 2025.

What You’ll Be Doing – Key Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Head of Year, you’ll play a vital role in the pastoral care and academic progress of a year group. This is a non-teaching role focused on student wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement.
Pastoral Support:
* Work closely with the Head of Year to support the emotional, social, and academic development of students.
* Be a key point of contact for students needing guidance or support.
* Support students with attendance, punctuality, and readiness to learn.
Behaviour & Welfare:
* Monitor and follow up on behaviour concerns, including implementing behaviour support plans.
* Lead on restorative conversations and interventions.
* Promote a positive and inclusive ethos across the year group.
Communication & Liaison:
* Build strong relationships with parents and carers, supporting regular communication and early intervention.
* Liaise with external agencies, safeguarding leads, and the wider pastoral team as needed.
* Attend relevant meetings and contribute to reports on student wellbeing and behaviour.
Administrative & Data Monitoring:
* Track attendance, punctuality, and behavioural data; support interventions where needed.
* Maintain accurate student records and logs.
* Assist in organising year group events, rewards, and assemblies.

Organisational and administrative confidence
Experience in a school or youth work setting (preferred but not essential)
