Job summary
We are looking for Housekeeping Team Managers to join #TeamUHD.
Our team of Housekeeping Managers work collaboratively to support the Housekeeping Service across the Royal Bournemouth Hospital site. This is an exciting time at RBH, with our maternity services now in the new BEACH building and further developments as we become the major emergency hospital for East Dorset.
Our Housekeeping team ensures the hospital remains clean, providing a safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Each Housekeeping Team Manager is responsible for a specific area (quality, recruitment and training, equipment and consumables, rostering, and waste management) and acts as 'duty manager' to allocate team members effectively to ensure a safe and efficient service.
Full training for the role is provided, including specialized training for each area. Leadership and management courses are also available for development.
We are a large team, and experience in managing or supervising a sizable team would be advantageous.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential):
* Leadership & Management - Level 3 or Healthcare Support Services - Level 3 diploma
* IOSHH or equivalent training to identify and manage risks and investigate
Knowledge (Essential):
* Experience in work allocation, problem solving, and exploring different resolution methods
Desirable:
* Understanding of the "Revised Healthcare Cleaning" Manual and "Cleaning Specifications" as per the National Standard of Healthcare Cleanliness
Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. Applicants must undergo a DBS check to verify any criminal convictions.
