Physiotherapy Lead - Outpatients
Location: The Chiltern Hospital – Great Missenden, The Shelburne Hospital – High Wycombe. 30 hours per week, permanent.
Salary: Up to £50,000 per year (FTE), depending on level of experience, training and qualification.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based physiotherapy care across all relevant clinical areas.
- Maintain a specialist caseload, providing expert assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation planning.
- Provide line management and clinical supervision to physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and students.
- Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the physiotherapy service, including staff rotas, clinic planning, and workload allocation.
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with professional standards (HCPC, CSP), organisational policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g. CQC).
- Act as the main point of contact for the physiotherapy service, liaising with senior leaders, consultants, and external partners.
- Stay up to date with research, clinical advancements, and national guidance relevant to physiotherapy.
Qualifications
- HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
- Significant post‑registration experience, including advanced clinical and leadership responsibilities.
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage physiotherapy services effectively.
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills.
- Experience in supervising staff and supporting service improvement.
