Job Role:
To be a valued, capable and collaborative Senior HR Business Partner to our managers and functional leaders, helping in building and driving their people-positive agendas. As the Senior HR Business Partner, you will also enrich people practices to better grow next level player development and understand the multi-faceted group HR and wider business operations, the talent we employ and the strategic focus of our business, also enabling growth and support for the HRBP team. Location: Hybrid working 3 days in the office 2 at home, Lakeside, Chester Business Park, Cheshire, CH4 9QT

Description:
• Relevant HR qualification (CIPD)
• Demonstrable experience in people partnership with business managers and leaders
• Be a proactive champion for change and organisational development
• Equipped with excellent professional HR skills to handle a full suite of HR challenges; including ER cases, disciplinary and grievance, investigatory matters, also in a professionally sensitive manner.
• Experience of successfully working in and delivering people focused service at a partner-approach HR level
• Experience in effectively managing a range of tasks and priorities, simultaneously
• A role model of excellent people-practice, leadership, coaching and motivational skills with a willingness to be hands-on as required in supporting the drive of HR behaviors.
• Ability to deliver in a fast-paced, matrixed, dynamic environment, preferably with operations industry experience and gained in multi-locational business with multiple stakeholders, which you have taken through a transformative journey demonstrating experience of leading on
significant change projects.
• Experience of HR risk profiling and ability to make judgement call on complex HR
• Discreet when dealing with confidential information and acting in good faith with respect to all involved parties
• Ability to travel as required, including willingness to attend industry events
Key Responsibilities:
• Working collaboratively with the Senior HR leaders to deliver people plan and practice in
supported business areas and/or territories
• Partnering with senior functional leaders to support team delivery of their functional people
plans.
• Handling advisory people issues and ability to deal with complex ER cases, escalating where
appropriate.
• Collaborating with managers to ensure that managers are familiar with People policies and
procedures; whilst identifying opportunities and mitigating risks.
• Supporting development for HRBP team, where reporting line exists in role.
• Advising on employee relations cases; e.g. monitoring absence, capability and performance;
disciplinary and grievances; etc. whilst assessing emerging or ongoing issues
• Responsible for ensuring accuracy of employee records, HR Information Systems and
providing accurate Management Information (MI) – to ensure the accurate maintenance,
updating and auditing of manual and electronic employee records.
• Preparing accurate MI to report on key aspects of people data within a timely manner.
• Provide project management support and expertise for the people work stream across all
departmental projects to ensure legal compliance, collaboration and consistency of approach,
whilst establishing credibility by quickly responding to changing priorities.
• Attending inter-departmental team meetings to encourage collaboration across the business,
whilst fostering consistency and mitigating potential risks and issues that may affect the
team’s ability to provide appropriate resources and support.
• Take the lead on special projects, being proud to champion and deliver reputational positive change within the business.
• Contribute and where accountable to do so, define processes that support local initiatives
• Drive consistency of talent planning in collaboration with managers and HR, within current
and future business unit needs and aligned to HR process globally.
• Coach and build the people-capability of managers to ultimately improve performance within
functional business units.
• Develop and execute workforce plans alongside functional leader and talent strategy with the
Talent Development professionals within the HR team.
• Proactively share best practice to drive continuous improvement across the HR team and
willingly receive feedback in the same form from the wider HR team.
• Pro-change and take ownership of diagnosing underlying issues to ensure root of any
challenges are addressed at source and therefore being improvement focused.
• Working with key metrics, continually reviewing respective functional management
information
• Using focus on Talent, Performance and Engagement to engage, develop and maintain key,
positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Design and deliver high-impact solutions, whilst embedding ethical high-performance values
and proactively sharing best practice
• Understanding the requirements and needs of key stakeholders and delivering against these.
• Role modelling cross functional working, collaboration and thinking across the business
• Providing robust and meaningful information, data and recommendations to key
stakeholders. Review month on month to assess progress and performance.
• Keeping up to date with industry developments and applying best practice to areas of
identified improvement
• Often operating in complex environment, with a matrix support structure
