Student Experience Team Member Durham Full-Time Includes weekend working, early shifts, late shifts, and occasional lone working
Are you looking for a fast-paced, people-focused role where no two days are the same? We’re currently building a talent pool of reliable, enthusiastic individuals to support our busy student accommodation sites during key check-in periods.
This is a front-facing role where you’ll be one of the first points of contact for students, helping to create a welcoming, positive, and seamless move-in experience during high-energy peak periods.
Shift patterns:
Early shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm Late shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Please note, this role may require you to work across two additional sites in Durham.
What you’ll be doing: Welcoming students and creating a friendly first impression Supporting student check-ins and handling general enquiries Managin in post and deliveries Assisting with student events and community activities Carrying out room checks and inspections Supporting students with fire alarm procedures and lockouts Assisting the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks Working independently at times, including lone working during quieter periods or across different sites Getting involved wherever needed to ensure the site runs smoothly during busy periods Assist with light cleaning taks such as hoovering etc wthin reception area
What we’re looking for:
A positive, approachable, and upbeat attitude Strong communication and customer service skills Proactive, hands-on, and able to use initiative Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Confident working both as part of a team and independently, including lone working when required Happy to be on your feet for most of the day Physically fit and willing to assist with luggage when needed Flexible and available to work weekends
