Tradewind Recruitment are working with schools in Hull and the East Riding that are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join them on a temporary, ad-hoc basis for September 2025. Payment will between £100 and £120 per day.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people, who is looking to build a career in education or experience new schools and ad some flexibility to their work schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising whole classes in the absence of a teacher, ensuring students stay on task,
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies, employing effective classroom control strategies
Delivering pre-prepared work and ensuring learning continues smoothly, adapting as needed for the students in the class
Providing feedback to teachers and school leaders on student progress and conduct
Supporting students across a range of year groups and subjectsIdeal candidates will have:
Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting
A confident and professional approach to classroom management
Excellent communication skills and a calm, positive, and patient attitude, particularly when working with students with complex needs
