Norfolk County Council's Fire and Rescue team is committed to the safety of its residents. The Building Safety Regulator is responsible for ensuring the safety of tall buildings. This role primarily involves working for the building safety regulator as part of the regional team assembled by fire services, while being employed by Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service.
As a fire safety inspector, you will conduct inspections of buildings in Norfolk according to their risk-based inspection programme, and assess fire safety arrangements in tall buildings for building safety certificates through the building safety regulator.
This may include site visits and liaising with responsible and accountable persons.

Enforcement of fire safety regulation as outlined in the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order may also be required.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to help shape community safety in these buildings. You will be instrumental in saving lives.
The role offers flexible hybrid working, with access to the office when needed, and regional collaboration with other services, which can be discussed at interview.
