Regulatory Compensation Specialist
Location: London, UK
Corporate Title: Up to Vice President (VP).
Part of the EMEA Regulatory Compensation team within the EMEA Compensation & Benefits function, this role ensures the Bank’s compensation policies and practices comply with applicable EMEA regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
* Manage the identification process for Material Risk Takers (MRTs)
* Support regulatory remuneration reporting and disclosures, including data preparation, analysis, and validation
* Assist with year‑end compensation processes (e.g., deferrals, variable‑to‑fixed ratios), including audits and controls
* Build knowledge of UK/EU compensation regulations and their practical impact
* Prepare materials for EMEA remuneration committees and boards
* Collaborate on regulatory compensation projects, including automation initiatives
* Ensure robust governance, controls, and documentation for compliance assessments
* Contribute to ad‑hoc projects within the EMEA Compensation & Benefits team
Experience & Competencies
* Compensation experience within a large multinational financial services environment
* Robust attention to detail and analytical capability
* Demonstrated curiosity and interest in UK/EU remuneration regulations
* Sound judgment with the ability to manage deliverables independently
* Effective collaborator across geographically distributed teams
* Proven project management and organisational skills
* Advanced Excel skills; comfortable working with large, complex datasets
* Clear and concise communicator, able to translate complex data into insights
* Stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative, results‑focused approach
* Commercial awareness
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* Prior exposure to UK/EU regulatory compensation is advantageous
