RoW Logistics Specialist - Fixed term 12-month contract

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for booking and managing shipments from outside the US. This role involves working closely with the RoW Logistics Managers, supporting the requirements for Tanner commercial and divisions. The Logistics Specialist will also work with the QA team to ensure shipments are compliant with GxP regulations.
Role Accountabilities
Expected Responsibilities for the Logistics Specialist are:
· Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics activities related to transportation, storage, and distribution of products to specific countries.
· Ensure GxP guidelines are followed relating to logistics and distribution of medicinal products, including investigational medicinal products.
· Create and input all products received in the ERP system and generate inbound reports daily.
· Effectively manage the booking of inbound and outbound shipments
· Request shipping quotes from our Logistics Providers
· Communicate efficiently with all logistics carriers and suppliers.
· Prepare daily reports for all outbound shipments.
· Coordinate and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
· Manage all import and export requirements, including customs activities in coordination with Tanner’s LSP partners and commercial teams.
· Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders in line with our values
· Identify potential risks within the logistics process (e.g., delays, damaged goods, temperature control excursions or supply chain disruptions) and implement mitigation strategies to minimise operational impact.
Desired Candidate Profile & Capabilities
Required:
· 2-4 years’ experience in Supply chain and Logistics, preferably within a life science setting
· Knowledge of logistics processes, inventory management, and transportation systems/networks.
· Experience working with ERP systems.
· Fluency in written and spoken English.
· Exemplary writing and communication skills.
· Passion for superior customer service and flexibility to do what it takes to ensure customer satisfaction.
· Self-motivated with a passion for learning and the ability to recognize when something
needs to be done.
· Strong team player.
· Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable in engaging at all levels of the organization
· Good problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
· Friendly and approachable with a 'can-do' attitude
· Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
· Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and relevant regulations for products.
