We are currently recruiting Laboratory Attendant for our client based in Loughrey Campus, Cookstown. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork and ANI completed. Start date: ASAP Rate of pay: £13.41PH Duration: 3/29/2026 with possible extension Hours of work: 37 (Part time hours considered) Key Responsibilities: The primary role of the Laboratory Attendant is to maintain the laboratory in a clean and tidy state and assist scientific staff with experimental work as required. The main duties and responsibilities of the post holders include: Maintaining the laboratory facilities in a clean and tidy state, including the cleaning of laboratory equipment, worktops, cupboards, fridges, freezers, glassware and safe disposal of contaminated waste. Assisting in experimental laboratory work, including the preparation of laboratory media and preparation of laboratory samples. Maintaining stocks of chemicals, media and other consumable supplies within the laboratories. Following COSHH and Health and Safety requirements in undertaking all laboratory duties. This list is not exhaustive and the successful candidate will be required to carry out other duties as allocated by management. Essential Criteria applicants must have: 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English (Proof of certs required) Have studied and passed a science subject, which includes laboratory work, to at least GCSE/GCE “O” level standard. Applications will also be considered from applicants with relevant formal qualifications considered by the selection panel to be of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated.
