Overview

Join to apply for the Consultant Hepatologist role at Make It Count Marketing.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the University Hospital of North Midlands to join the team of Gastroenterology Consultants working at our Royal Stoke and County sites. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a hepatology interest to provide care and diagnostic services for patients presenting with gastroenterological illnesses. The department offers JAG accredited services across both sites and opportunities to develop interests in research and medical education through established links with the Institute for Applied Clinical Sciences and Keele Medical School.

The Gastroenterology Department is the regional centre for Upper GI Cancer, including Hepatobiliary and Colorectal Cancer, as well as non-transplant Hepatology. The department comprises a Gastroenterology Ward with 36 inpatient beds and two JAG accredited Endoscopy departments across Royal Stoke and County sites offering diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. The successful postholder will be expected to deliver a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient service; there is an opportunity to discuss the exact job plan and any specialist interests, and where possible these will be accommodated.

A Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Gastroenterology and General Medicine is required.
