The department offers JAG accredited services across both sites and opportunities to develop interests in research and medical education through established links with the Institute for Applied Clinical Sciences and Keele Medical School.
The Gastroenterology Department is the regional centre for Upper GI Cancer, including Hepatobiliary and Colorectal Cancer, as well as non-transplant Hepatology. The department comprises a Gastroenterology Ward with 36 inpatient beds and two JAG accredited Endoscopy departments across Royal Stoke and County sites offering diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. The successful postholder will be expected to deliver a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient service; there is an opportunity to discuss the exact job plan and any specialist interests, and where possible these will be accommodated.
