Salary: £28,507 per annum

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pastoral Manager to join our fantastic team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA)

This is a permanent full time post working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £28,507 and the full time equivalent is £33,143 Grade 6.

Manchester Enterprise Academy, part of Prospere Learning Trust is seeking to appoint a new Pastoral Manager, a dedicated, caring, and strategic individual who will lead and inspire students to make positive choices, remove barriers to learning, and uphold the highest standards of behaviour, attendance and personal development.
This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of our young people and building a culture that supports every student to thrive, both in and beyond the classroom.

We are seeking a committed educational professional who:

* Is educated to degree level or equivalent qualifications
* Has proven experience working in the 11–16 phase
* Demonstrates a strong understanding of student development, behaviour strategies, and pastoral care
* Has experience in successful use of strategies for raising achievement and developing student character, particularly in urban educational settings
* Can work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external agencies to support student success
* Is able to communicate effectively at all levels across the school community
* Has the ability to analyse data, evaluate impact and adapt strategy accordingly
* Is confident, resilient, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people
* Demonstrate a commitment to appropriate professional standards, including core policies relating to child protection.

As a Pastoral Manager, you will:

* Take a lead role in implementing the school’s behaviour and attendance policies
* Work closely with students, parents/carers, and staff to develop a culture of excellence and accountability
* Lead and line manage the Pastoral team to drive strategic intervention and routine
* Monitor key student data across behaviour, attendance and progress to ensure effective support is in place
* Promote student leadership and character development through assemblies, council involvement, and rewards
* Be a visible, proactive presence across the school day, including during transitions and social times
* Build meaningful relationships with students and families, responding to their needs with care and consistency
