About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team from September 2025. This long-term position involves supporting students across a variety of subjects, with a focus on providing tailored assistance to pupils with special educational needs (SEN). Working closely with teaching staff, you will help deliver lessons, support behaviour management, and contribute to the overall progress and well-being of students.
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Provide targeted one-on-one and small group support for students, including those with SEN
Help maintain a positive and structured classroom environment
Assist in the creation of teaching resources and learning materials
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Support behaviour management strategies and promote respectful interactions
Requirements:
Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable
A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to challenges
Qualifications:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Additional qualifications in education or teaching support are beneficial but not required
