CNC Turner - Precision Engineering
Salary:
Base salary of up to £36,504 per annum (to £18.00 per hour)
Overtime pay of up to £27.00 per hour (Time and a Half of the hourly rate)
Excellent earning potential with ample hours available
Standard work week of 39 hours with a Friday finish at 12:00 mid-dayLocation:

We are in search of a proficient CNC Turner to join our client's precision engineering team. The ideal candidate should possess the skills to set up, operate, and program CNC Lathes, with a specific interest in experience with Doosan 3 axis Lathes and Haas machines.
Responsibilities:
Operate and program Doosan 3 axis Lathes and Haas machines to produce precision components as per engineering specifications.
Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to determine machining operations and set up requirements.
Utilise measuring equipment like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure the accuracy and quality of machined components.
Inspect finished components to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining process.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring proper maintenance and servicing of machines.
Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and enhance efficiency.
Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
Beneficial to have experience operating Doosan 3 axis Lathes and Haas machines.
Proficient in setting up, operating, and programming CNC lathes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Strong knowledge of measuring equipment and effective usage.
Attention to detail with the ability to inspect components for quality and accuracy.
City & Guilds qualifications or apprenticeship in Engineering would be advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Hours:
39 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Early finish on Fridays).
Start time: 7:30 am.
Finish times: Monday 4:00 pm, Tuesday 4:30 pm, Wednesday & Thursday 5:00 pm, and Friday 12:00 mid-day.
