Development Manager – St Austell
Fixed Term Contract – Until June 2027
We are looking for an experienced Development Manager to lead residential developments from land handover to planning consent, ensuring each scheme is viable, deliverable, and aligned with growth ambitions. You’ll coordinate consultants, engage with local authorities, shape design strategies, and champion high-quality outcomes at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive development strategy, viability, and planning coordination.
2. Manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality planning applications.
3. Build strong relationships with landowners, planners, stakeholders, and communities.
4. Identify and mitigate risks, keeping projects on track.
5. Report on budgets, milestones, and progress during the pre-construction phase.
About You
6. HND or equivalent Level 5 qualification in a related discipline.
7. Commercially aware, confident, and collaborative.
8. Experienced in the full housebuilding development process, from land acquisition to sales.
9. Strong knowledge of planning policy, land law, contracts, and Section 106 agreements.
10. Excellent communicator and problem solver, with a proactive approach to project delivery.
